Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems, for commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
  • Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and equipment sizing to ensure system efficiency and compliance with codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE).
  • Responsible for the development of design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, load calculations, electrical system calculations, and one-line diagrams
  • Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and construction documents using Revit & AutoCAD.
  • Create and manage detailed Revit models for electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and coordinated designs.
  • Review and evaluation of contractor submittals and RFI responses during construction phases.
  • Prepare technical specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements, support construction administration, and resolve design issues.
  • Support senior engineers in the review and approval of design drawings and documentation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to contribute to innovative and compliant designs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification is preferred; PE license is a plus.
  • 5–7 years of experience in electrical engineering
  • Experience working on mid-sized to large projects
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE)
  • Strong Proficiency in Revit for electrical design and modeling.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with electrical design calculations software (e.g.,  ETAP, SKM).
  • Ability to utilize electrical engineering knowledge related to voltage, current, power, voltage drop, cable sizes, and conduit size requirements per NEC
  • Experience in electrical power distribution, lighting design, and low-voltage systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent client relationship and interaction skills required
